Thinking of trying muse as MuseScore doesn't have this feature. and Muse now has notation.

Is it possible to route MIDI out using QJackCtl? So I could use the MIDI to trigger Linux Sampler?

Thanks

Yes it is of course possible to route to Linuxsampler, it's however not recommended to use qjackctl for the routing but do the connections within MusE.
At the bottom of the MusE Settings menu there is the Midi configuration dialog, setup Linuxsampler as an output device in that dialog and you should be good to go.
Note that MusE now defaults to showing only Jackmidi capable devices. There's a command line switch for showing Alsa devices also, incase your setup is configured for alsa.

Also, there is a DSSI frontend for linuxsampler LS16 http://ls16.sf.net, this makes it possible to load linuxsampler within MusE as a softsynth. This has a number of benefits if your linuxsampler patchset is moderate, ease patch loading, all config and routing done in the MusE songfile.

That was a brief summary, if you need further help just get back.
