song info is begging - mane_groteks - 05-04-2011

In Muse2
When a song is saved with text in the "song info" - next time when loading this song - the "song info" window pops up and is begging for confirmation.
song-loading stops until that.

Greetings,
mane

Hi Mane,
Not sure but I think this is true in 1.1 also.

This is by design, the reasoning is to put some important info on this page that you or perhaps a collaborator needs to remember.
Or, in the case of distributing song files, information about the composition.

Is it in the way so we should make the popup optional?

Robert

Hi robert,

thank you for quick answering !
Yes, your right Muse1 also starts the song-info window; but I think it popped after loading the song.
( I had some troubles with an older pre-build of Muse2 - cause the song-info window opened behind
the main window; the hourglass was running - and I didn't see whats going on.)

And yes - the song-info is a very useful feature. - I use it as some kind of journal/changelog;

So It would be great if I could decide whether the pop up to appear automatically.
If distributors need this - it may make sense if it is stored in the song itself?

Greetings,
mane

I have changed it so the dialog is always on-top and also added a checkbox to select if the info should be shown on startup. Hope that will work for you <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->
